April 6, 2009

An enema bag is used to hold a liquid laxative that is inserted into the rectum. It has a control valve to allow water to flow into the body or to stop the flow when you feel full. You are to hold the liquid in as long as possible (usually 5-10 minutes) which produces a bowel movement. Enema is safe if done properly and if caution is applied and the proper solution is used . Be aware that most of the reusable bags have an enema nozzle and a douche nozzle.
